Johnson Service Group (JSG), a nationally recognized staffing firm, is looking for a Junior Accountant with Manufacturing industry experience. This is a 3-6 month contract opportunity with phenomenal organization in Elgin, Illinois.

This will be an excellent opportunity for a Junior or Entry-Level Accountant  to grow and be mentored by a highly knowledgeable leader and senior team member who are eager to teach and train on the job.

Responsibilities: Month-end close support including: inventory reconciliation (cost/pound), cost accruals, variance analysis Monthly journal entries Weekly labor metrics Ad hod analysis and reporting Balance sheet account analysis Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting 1+ year experience and demonstrated knowledge of accounting associated with the manufacturing industry Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas Comfortable in a fast-paced environment Ability to build relationships Strong sense of confidentiality
Additional Information: 40 hours/week Onsite to begin with, then hybrid 3 days/week Exceptional culture and lots of opportunity to learn and grow! $28-35/hr depending upon experience Contract benefits include health/dental/vision
