Description We are seeking a meticulous Cost Accountant for our team in Andrews, Texas. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing our financial planning and ensuring that our expenditures yield beneficial ROI. You will analyze costs and revenues, maintain our internal controls, and make valuable recommendations to enhance cost-efficiency. Responsibilities • Conduct cost analysis of company operations to identify areas for potential savings • Analyze and compare project revenues to costs to assess profitability • Prepare detailed analyses of company equipment for decision-making purposes concerning purchases or repairs • Collect and maintain an expense database with up-to-date cost information • Determine fixed and variable costs, such as salaries, rent, insurance, raw material purchases, and operation costs • Regularly review standard and actual costs for any inaccuracies and rectify them promptly • Assist in preparing and compiling budget reports for the company and each department • Prepare cost forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis • Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities • Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions to enhance the company's profitability • Serve as a liaison between corporate accounting and the accounting needs at our Andrews Facility • Collaborate with team members, as needed, to complete essential duties, responsibilities, and any other assigned projects. Requirements • Applicant must hold a minimum of 5 years experience in the field of cost accounting • Proficiency in the use of Accounting Software Systems is a requisite • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential • Candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of Accounting Functions • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary • Previous exposure to Auditing is required • Understanding of Budget Processes is crucial • Candidate should be able to handle Cash Activity effectively Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
