Adecco Search is seeking a a skilled **Cost Accountant** to serve as a strategic financial partner in Rochester, NY.The **Cost** **Accountant** will provide financial support to two manufacturing plants. The **Cost Account** will oversee month-end financial closing, cost analysis, fixed asset management, plant capital investments, and operational financial support. The **Cost Accountant** will perform month-end-financial close including journal entries for manufacturing expenses, depreciation, taxes and overhead costs. **Job Duties for the Cost Accountant in Rochester, NY:** + Conduct manufacturing cost and variance analysis for both facilities. + Analyze monthly financial results and key performance metrics, providing insights to management. + Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for plant and general managers, as well as other BWE entities as required. + Ensure strong internal controls are in place and assist in implementing corrective actions where needed. + Identify and support cost reduction initiatives, tracking and quantifying savings. + Assist with internal and external audits and ensure compliance with divisional financial requirements. + Provide financial oversight for capital projects, from justification through approval and installation. + Develop and maintain standard costs, routers, and department burden rates. + Support monthly forecasting and annual budgeting, including future spend analysis and cost rationalization. + Reconcile balance sheet accounts for multiple entities on a monthly basis. + Maintain fixed asset records within the Fixed Asset System. + Monitor and analyze inventory variances and oversee inventory control programs. + Manage cash flow, vendor payments, and general ledger coding for purchase orders. + Review and approve new credit applications while monitoring accounts receivable and delinquent accounts. + Provide financial reporting and insights to divisional headquarters as required. **Job Requirements for the Cost Accountant in Rochester, NY:** + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required + 3-8 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment **Company Benefits:** Our client offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and financial security of our employees, including:We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and financial security of our employees, including: + **Health Insurance:** Comprehensive medical coverage to keep you and your family healthy. + **Vision Insurance:** Coverage for eye exams, glasses, and contact lenses. + **Dental Insurance:** Preventative care, basic, and major dental services covered. + **401(k) Retirement Plan:** Employer-matching contributions to help you plan for your future. + **Life Insurance:** Company-provided life insurance with additional voluntary coverage options. + **Paid Time Off (PTO):** Generous vacation, sick leave, and personal time. + **Career Growth & Advancement:** Opportunities for professional development and internal promotions.
