Kforce has a client in Framingham, MA that is seeking a Cost Accounting Consultant. Responsibilities: * In this role, the Cost Accounting Consultant will be establishing cost accounting as a practice within the company from the ground up * Develop a cost accounting system to track COGS (Cost of Goods Sold), R&D expenses, and manufacturing costs; This includes the establishment of all accounting entries as they relate to inventory, costs and transfer pricing * Work with Accounting data flows to establish standard cost and the appropriate journal entries * Establishment of appropriate business controls and SOX Controls as they relate to the Cost Accounting process * The Cost Accounting Consultant will be working with the internal stakeholders as they prepare for the commercialization process of the client's products * 3PL (Third party logistics) processes and cutoffs - working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper tracking and reconciliation between company records and 3PL reports
