*Role is in Portland Plant 4 days a week after 3 months.
The Cost Accounting Manager, Portland Bakery will be responsible for the Financial Planning and Cost Control / Analysis of the Integrated Supply Chain Operations for the Portland, OR plant, including raw, pack, conversion, and labor costs, as well as all related Capital Investments and Productivity initiatives to deliver results in line with the North American business targets to support profitable growth.
Responsibilities:
Integrated Supply Chain financial targets delivery including:
Raw & Pack costs / Conversion cost / Direct and Indirect Labor / Fixed & Variable Expenses
Capex and major transformation initiatives / Productivity agenda
Planning Process owner including:
Annual budget process coordination (STD costs development for all cost elements such as R&P, DVL, IVL, OVC, Energy, etc. --productivity and working capital targets)
Monthly & Quarterly forecasts and Cost updates / Support for Strategic plans build up and/or validation.
Processes above fully coordinated and aligned with BU Financial teams including due dates and reporting systems (i.e FiT, Productivity and Capex reporting tools, etc)
Reporting and Closing process co-owner including:
Monthly, Quarterly and Year-End closing process coordination (Detailed Cost analysis, reporting and reconciliations) together with Genpact Analyst’s support.
Capex and Productivity reconciliations and reporting
Coordination with NA BU Financial and ISC teams to deliver timelines, due dates and reporting systems submissions (i.e SAP, FiT, Volt, Productivity and Capex reporting tools, etc.)
Provide thought leadership and insight on achievement of KPIs with a strong focus on cost reductions.
Closing / Financial reports preparation (i.e. KPI´s, waste, conversion, ingredients, and packaging costs)
Controlling processes owner including:
Adherence of accounting rules / Company and country policies and procedures compliance
Inventory controlling (IRA, cycle counting audit, obsolete/expired/risks surveillance)
SAP RTR Site Champion ensuring full alignment with NA teams.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in financial planning and performance management including data collection and structuring, analyzing, planning and reporting company financial performance across all financial KPIs and investment decisions and cost management to achieve financial targets.
BUSINESS ACUMEN and understanding of our business, consumer packaged goods industry, and local snacking market dynamics.
LEADERSHIP SKILLS including experience with business partnering and communication skills across a large regional or local public company.
GROWTH/DIGITAL MINDSET and the ability to identify/execute opportunities and leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
INTEGRITY and sound judgement in all decisions and interactions aligned with our values and policies and external regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Industrial Engineering, Master’s Degree in Finance preferred
6 or more years of experience in Financial Planning, Reporting, Control or Costing experience.
SAP experience is preferred.
Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) experience is preferred.
Experience in a multinational company is ideal.
Advanced Excel skills and technical skills
Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Need to be able to handle/analyze large amounts of data.
Ability to work with details/understand business implications.
