This role also partners with Business Operations to ensure governance and controls are created, maintained, and monitored in accordance with Company standards. **Key Responsibilities** + Manage a team of accountants monitoring the daily costing activities for a specific SGS Business Unit + Special focus on physical inventory management and inventory reserve including monitoring financial statement risks + Creating, testing and designing internal controls over financial reporting + Designing and implementing cost accounting systems and programs + Overseeing annual physical inventory audits + Hiring, training, supervising and developing cost accounting staff **Typical Education** Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting from 4 year college or university **Other Information** This is a senior-level position within the Cost Accounting job family requiring a comprehensive understanding of location operations, procurement and accounting as well as accounting fundamentals and principles. Work is varied and complex. Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity.
