The Opportunity

The Cost Accounting Manager is a leader responsible for building out a Cost Accounting methodology and team that will support the Company as we approach commercialization and beyond. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting and will be a leader in the upcoming effort to build a Supply Chain Module in our ERP Module in preparation for our commercialization that will require Inventory Management and a more robust Operational Accounting process. In the future, the Cost Accounting Manager will build out a global Cost Accounting team that aligns with our organizational footprint and act as both a direct and indirect manager to members of the global Cost Accounting organization.  Further, the Cost Accounting Manager will have a focus on optimizing processes to be more scalable and efficient in preparation for future growth and globalization of the Company.

What We Seek

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting requiredCPA License required6+ years of combined industry experience including both Big 4 or other large national firm auditing and cost accounting within a publicly traded companyAdvanced working knowledge of US GAAP and a history of becoming subject matter expert in areas of oversightAdvanced knowledge of SOX and audit requirementsAdvanced people management and leadership skills with the ability to create culture of accountability and performance management while maintaining work-life balance for themselves and the teamProactive and strategic mindset with ability to balance solving immediate problems and making progress towards longer term strategic goalsAbility to evaluate system capabilities to increase efficiencies and improve processesStrong communicator who can communicate effectively within a matrixed organization

Preferred Background

2+ years of experience managing a Cost Accounting department in a standard costing environmentPharmaceutical or life sciences commercial experienceExperience with D365 or other large ERP systems  What We will Provide to You:The base salary range for this role is $122,200 - $135,000. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.Avidity offers competitive compensation and benefits which includes the opportunity for annual and spot bonuses, stock options and RSUs, as well as a 401(k) with an employer match.
