Cost Analyst
Job Title: Cost Analyst Summary:The Cost Analyst is responsible for the ongoing analysis of process constraints, target costing projects, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities. The cost accountant/analyst must also construct and monitor those cost-effective data accumulation systems needed to provide an appropriate level of costing information to management. This position will report to Thailand Manufacturing Finance Manager, based in Rayong Plant. Responsibilities Include: + Key player of Operation Finance team to work with TG02 Rayong Team + Leading the annual budgeting process for TG02 plant to ensure that regular costs for all productions of business are determined in accordance with business strategy, target & budget timeline + Take ownership for the whole process of month end, quarter end & year end closing as a role of Operation Finance - Cost Analyst for TG02, collaborating with Controller Team & MBS Team and GL reconciliation as required + Analyze financial data; actual expenses, comparing to budgets and forecasts to provide accurate and timely cost reports to management + Monthly Operation Finance – TG02 forecast preparation; collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather the data (production volume, expense, absorption, etc) and develop the accurate forecast + Annual STD costing: collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather cost data and develop cost models for accurate costing, understand the change of annual product costing + Validate and understand the changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine correctly STD cost + Lead physical inventory and cycle count program for TG02 plant, summarize the report and investigate the counting result as well as variances need to be identified and solved + Plant VCP activity involvement; conduct detailed cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement for business + Participate in the development of long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with the business's strategic objectives + Conduct cost-benefit analysis, financial evaluation for proposed projects, investments, and business initiatives for TG02 plant + Managing TG02 Plant Fix asset as well as unfinished assets monitoring & physical fix asset count regarding to MPM Accounting Policy + Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in cost analysis and recommend improvements to internal processes and systems specific to PA business + Coordinate and response to internal and external auditors request on audit data or any audit findings related to Operation Finance and solve for any issues and deficiencies arising from audit findings (related TG02) + Ensure the performing of all the tasks respected to Internal control and comply to Company Accounting policy + Complete ad hoc reports and analysis for stakeholders as requirement Qualifications: The following are required for the role + Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or similar field. + More than 5 years Experiences in Cost Accounting and experience in data, operational and financial analysis in a Manufacturing Environment + Good of English communication + Good in presentation skill, especially in English presentation + Computer skills especially Excel & SAP + Able to work independently and “CAN DO” attitude + Safety & Quality mindset + Must have a strong Cost systems background, excellent analytical skills & logical thinking; sound understanding of accounting principles + Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports + Assertive, Positive, Hands on, willing to learn and be a good team player + Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis + Hands-on and able to work under pressure + Knowledge of SAP or ERP system is preferred + Ability to interpret and present complex financial information to stakeholders #LI-PP1 What We Offer: At Momentive, we value your well-being and offer competitive total rewards and development programs.
