One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Cost Analyst to work on a 10 - month assignment in their facilities in Borger, TX.

Responsibilities: Lead role in project cost tracking and forecasting. Supervision of contract employees hired to assist with turnaround cost tracking efforts. Provide daily cost forecasts during turnarounds, with a level of detail that enables decisions to control costs and meet budget expectations. Prepare monthly cost accruals and reconcile accruals in the following month. Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations to communicate project cost status and cost forecasts. Assist the Turnaround and Technical Teams with preparation of their annual budgets. Requirements: Legally authorized to work in the job posting country. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and or 4 years equivalent experience. Proficient in the use of SAP modules Project Systems, Plant Maintenance, and Materials Management. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Outlook).
Preferred Qualification:
  5 or more years of project cost tracking and forecasting experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and presentation). Working knowledge of Primavera scheduling software. Works well under pressure and able to meet deadlines. Works independently without much supervision. Functional expertise in accounting/finance. Proficient with cost tracking systems. Strong analytical skills.
