\r\n\r\nVolt is hiring for a Cost Engineer in the Tipton/Muscatine, Iowa area.
\r\n\r\nAs a Cost Engineer, you will analyze and estimate costs for engineering projects. You will use your financial expertise, analytical skills, and project management knowledge to develop accurate cost estimates for different project components.
\r\n\r\nAdditional duties may include:
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tForecasting: Predicting potential costs and monitoring the early stages of development to identify risks and evaluate the project's chances of success \r\n\tResearching: Conducting research to forecast project costs \r\n\tWriting: Writing estimation reports for the project manager \r\n\tCollaborating: Working with team members to make decisions about resource allocation \r\n\tPlanning: Creating budgets and contributing to keeping the team on schedule \r\n\tAnalyzing: Analyzing project plans, materials, labor requirements, and other factors to determine the overall cost of a project \r\n\tControlling: Controlling the cost of various supplies and materials to provide insight into how to allocate and manage resources \r\n\tReporting: Providing cost analysis, controls, and report activities for projects \r\n\r\n\r\nThis is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity.
\r\n\r\nJob Requirements
\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBachelor’s degree in engineering preferred\r\n\t10 or more years of experience with cost engineering\r\n\tAbility to study a part, or blueprint of a part, and determine the best method to produce\r\n\tExperience identifying all costs associated with the production process of parts (i.e. power consumption of machine, maintenance of machine, labor cost, etc.)\r\n\tStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with different departments and stakeholders\r\n\tKnowledge of steel machinery manufacturing\r\n\tInnovative mindset\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Salary Range: $65,000 – 75,000 per year
\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
