The Red Gate Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cost Estimator to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in Springfield, VA. As a key member of an integrated team, you will apply advanced analytical and quantitative techniques to develop comprehensive cost models, estimates, and risk analyses. Your work will directly inform decision-making at the programmatic and executive levels, contributing to the success of NGA’s mission-critical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Collaborate with program offices and leadership to analyze cost, schedule, technical, and programmatic data.
+ Build, validate, and refine cost models, life-cycle cost estimates, and risk analyses using various methodologies.
+ Conduct in-depth cost and technical research to improve analytical outputs and methodologies.
+ Support the development and documentation of technical baselines for NGA programs.
+ Draft and edit management- and executive-level briefings, reports, and technical papers.
+ Provide guidance on cost-estimating tools, techniques, and methodologies to improve program outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree with a strong quantitative focus.
+ Experience:
+ Minimum 8+ years of professional experience, including 6+ years of relevant experience in cost estimating, business/finance/economics, operations research, or systems engineering.
+ Proven experience developing life-cycle cost estimates and conducting data collection and analysis.
+ Skilled in creating and implementing cost-estimating relationships, models, tools, and methodologies.
+ Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance (CI poly preferred).
Desired Skills and Expertise:
+ Master’s degree with significant quantitative focus.
+ Certifications in cost analysis (e.g., CCE/A, DAWIA Level II BCF-CE, or equivalent).
+ Expertise in costing large IT acquisition programs and agile estimating techniques.
+ Working knowledge of major Intelligence Community (IC) systems and strategic initiatives.
+ Proficiency in cost-estimating tools, risk tools, statistics/data analysis tools, and EVM analysis tools.
+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and guide team members.
+ Demonstrated ability to translate technical programmatic data into cohesive, executive-ready written artifacts.
+ Experience in schedule realism, cost risk analysis, business case development, and return on investment analysis.
+ Superior communication skills, both written and oral, with a history of producing artifacts for senior-level audiences.
