Role description: 

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Cost Manager / Civil Estimator to join our Cost and Commercial Management Team to support the delivery of multiple commissions and supporting our local infrastructure team. Reporting directly to the local Infrastructure Lead, we are looking for someone with drive and ambition who has experience working on large scale transport infrastructure projects. Our ideal candidate will have experience developing first principles estimates for heavy civil, road, rail, utilities, and / or aviation projects. Preferably the right candidate will have experience in providing probabilistic risk assessments to provide P50/P90 risk assessments on projects and will support our wider cost management team in the delivery of cost planning, estimating and commercial-based services.

Role accountabilities:

Your role will include but will not be limited to:

Supporting the development of the Arcadis Cost and Commercial Management offering in a client-facing role, through the delivery of services to a high quality. The preparation of first principles estimates and cost plans. The preparation of bills of quantities. Assessment of variations, take-offs and cost proposals. Delivering commissions within the framework of risk, sustainability and environmental considerations, while maintaining focus on time, cost and quality. Qualification & Experience:

Tertiary Education is preferred but not essential. Demonstrated experience in the transport infrastructure sector. Experience in the use of software applications such as Expert Estimation, and / or CostX and @Risk – these are preferred but not essential. Between two and four years post-qualified experience in a similar role. Experience in leading the delivery of cost management services on a variety of projects. An innovation mindset, with the ability to challenge the status quo.
