Role description:
Responsible for elements of larger cost management assignments or a wider array of tasks on smaller assignments under the supervision of another QS Director in order to achieve positive outcomes for our clients.Role accountabilities:
Manage the delivery of cost management in small/medium commercial/retail/residential developments or significant components of larger cost management assignments Liaise with all external and internal stakeholders Responsible for delivering their scope of work in line with various controls, and will have significant technical knowledge and experience in their field, such as:- Preparation of pre-contract cost estimates and project cash-flow
- Preparation of tender documentation
- Tendering process and tender evaluation
- Post-contract administration and management: contract documentation, valuation of progress payment, variation assessment, and cost control report
- Finalization of project final accounts Lead & assist in the coaching and development of other team members in order to share knowledge, increase team skill level and improve the standard of service delivery Provide specialist technical advice to senior management on issues relating to cost/commercial management, providing solutions and actively sharing knowledge in order to support successful delivery
Qualifications & Experience:
Holder of Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Project Management or related disciplines is preferred. 10-15 years’ relevant experience in Cost Management /or Quantity Surveying Less experienced candidates will be considered as Assistant Cost Manager / Assistant Team Leader Proven successful track record working in corporate client and consultant firm Successful track record in managing major projects Good command of English & Cantonese Professional qualifications are a plus not a must Experience in working with banking/retail/hospitality/commercial client is preferred Experience in Fit Out / A&A / Renovation projects preferred Willing to be based in Macau
