As CoStar’s next CMS Software Engineer, you will help deliver commercial and residential real estate news to millions of users. Our article content is tightly integrated with all of our product offerings, driving and enhancing our user experience. You will continuously learn emerging technologies and architecture advancements and apply the learnings to improve CoStar’s software products. We are searching for an exceptional Senior CMS Engineer in Washington DC to support CoStar’s news and content management.

  

This position is located in Washington, DC and offers a schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote. 

Responsibilities

Design and develop high performance content management systems and frontend web applications used by thousands of users globallyDrive continuous improvement by focusing on engineering excellence Influence CI/CD pipeline improvementsCollaborate closely with other Software Engineers across the organization.Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that can be used to strengthen CoStar’s technology platform and development practices Develop and maintain an in-depth working knowledge of the CRE Industry and CoStar’s business model / technologyAct as "Voice of the Customer" when participating in product readiness reviews   

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college.  A track record of commitment to prior employers 5+ years of production development experience3+ years working with modern content management technologies like Drupal, Brightspot, and JoomlaDemonstration of in-depth understanding of content management system development, such as sophisticated module creation, heavy customization/integration, or core platform contribution A demonstrable track record of building and launching successful products and platformsExperience with cloud technologies like AWS, Cloud Managed Services, etc.Experience in Agile/Scrum processes, and Continuous delivery practicesExperienced in unit, performance, and automation testingDeeply understand what drives the business for which you are building softwareTake an active role in mentoring developers with ability to build consensus

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Experience managing a large Enterprise level code base, code quality and dependenciesExperience with modern web technologies like React, Angular, C#, NodeJS, OpenSearchExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCommercial Real Estate (CRE) knowledge is a bonus
