**Job Summary**
This position plans, supervises and coordinates costume production for the Department of Theatre Arts and Dance. Provides responsible, professional expertise involving management and coordination of costume production and facilities.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Oversees the completion of made-to-order and pulled costumes for production season within production schedule deadlines.
+ Supervises and trains student employees with work study and practicum students in the Costume Studio.
+ Manages assigned costume budget, costume studio supplies and equipment.
+ Supervises costume storage, inventory, costume cleaning, loans and rentals.
+ Oversees student costume designers ensuring deadlines are met and protocol is followed.
+ Attends Costume Parade and fittings, dress rehearsals as needed.
+ Attend departmental, staff, committee and production meetings.
+ Performs other duties assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
+ Three (3) years of experience in costume design, construction and maintenance, including some teaching experience.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Master of Fine Arts.
+ Five (5) years teaching experience with professional experience at the national level.
+ Supervisory experience.
+ Experience with costume crafts, dyeing and period costumes.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Well-rounded abilities in cutting, draping and fitting as well as advanced sewing skills/
+ Basic computer skills, excellent organizational skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Ability to complete all physical tasks as needed.
**Other Requirements**
+ Reliable transportation needed for campus errands.
