COTA will treat various upper extremity disorders ranging from tendon injuries, sprains-strains, post- operative fractures, etc. Our population is primarily orthopedic injuries with referrals from hand and orthopedic surgeons. Let's foster your growth.
Hours Needed: Part Time Mon - Fri
Compensation: Starting at $25+/hr. Hourly rate calculated by experience.
Responsibilities Under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist, optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients.Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable componentsEnsure delivery of high-quality patient care services.Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goalsEnsure proper documentation of patient care.Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies Qualifications Must be a graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) programNational registration and state COTA licensure or registration REQUIREDMust have one year previous experience working with hand therapy patientsCardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificationValid state driver’s license Additional DataSelect Medical is committed to having a workforce that reflects diversity at all levels and is an equal-opportunity employer.
