The Citizens Bank Legal Department has an opening for an experienced, highly motivated, and results-oriented, attorney, with strong professional credentials to join its Corporate Transactions Legal Team. The Corporate Transactions Legal team consists of seven lawyers and two paralegals and provides legal advice to Citizens Bank and its affiliated entities on commercial real estate matters, high-impact commercial engagements with third party service providers, and mergers & acquisitions.

Responsibilities:

Drafting, negotiation and execution of commercial real estate agreements (e.g., retail and commercial leases, purchase and sale documents, SNDAs, license agreements), and providing legal advice to the real estate and facilities team.Drafting, negotiation and execution of complex vendor agreements and providing legal advice to various business lines regarding all aspects of such agreements including indemnification, privacy and data protection, intellectual property, and general risk management.Supporting mergers and acquisitions, as needed.

Minimum Required Qualifications/Skills:

 3-5+  years’ experience with commercial real estate and vendor or similar commercial contracts within the legal department of a large financial services or other highly-regulated company, or comparable experience at a law firm.An energetic and professional presence; the ability to thoughtfully prioritize work, concurrently manage multiple matters, and effectively interact with senior management.Excellent verbal, written, and analytical abilities, advanced organizational skills, together with the ability to collaboratively work as part of a team while remaining responsible for seeing one’s own projects through to completion.

Education:

J.D. degree and license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction required

Hours & Work Schedule: Hybrid 3 days in the office, 2 working from home.

Hours per Week: 40Work Schedule: Monday-Friday - At least 3 days in the office (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday)Locations: Boston & Westwood, MA or Johnston, RI Office
