What will I be doing?
A Counselor for Wailea Keiki Club is responsible for leading and directing children through supervised recreational activities in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
\nProvide exceptional childcare activities for children ages 5-12 years old. Instruct poolside craft workshops. Sell snacks, and drinks at snack shop. Greets and registers guests to camp sessions and specialty classes, providing prompt and courteous service around the camp area. Checks guests in and out of the facility. Resolves guest challenges throughout their stay in our hotel. Promotes hotel services, amenities and upsells products to the guests.
\n\nTeach, lead, participate and interact with children ages 5–12 years old. Occasionally work with 13-17 years old (during busy seasons). Prepare and set-up activities. Swim and interact with children.\nPlan and create stimulating and educational activities for 5-12 years.\nCollect and process cash, credit card and room charge payments for all camp fees.\nRegister arriving and departing children. Ensure registration forms are completed.\nMaintain cleanliness of facility, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping.\nAssist with menu schedules, serving lunch/dinner and snacks. \nFirst responder in case of water rescue, medical emergency, rendering First Aid and or CPR.\nEnsure safety of guest(s), patrons, and employees. Report accidents, injuries, and safety concerns.\nMake shave ice, popcorn and cotton candy for concession sales.\nCollect and process cash, credit card and room charge payments for all concession, workshop\nMaintain cleanliness of snack shop stand in accordance to DOH requirements, including sweeping and sanitizing equipment and items used for popcorn and shave ice production.\nInstruct guests how to make the scheduled arts & craft for the day.\nInstruct private hula lessons, lei making lessons, handmade jewelry classes and acrylic canvas painting classes\n\nIn addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
\n\nTransfer trash and dirty linen to designated areas.\nAnswering phones, taking reservations, photocopying, filing, and taking inventory.\nBalancing vouchers with daily summary.\nAssist supervisor and manager when needed.\nAdvises supervisor on status of inventory and operations.\nReport all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to security department.\nAttend all mandatory meetings.\nProvide general public assistance, instruction, and/or guidance for guests. \nAny other related duties as assigned by Director/Manager.\n\nWAILEA KEIKI CLUB SESSIONS:
