Reporting to the Director of Counseling, Staff Counselors provide short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and mental health outreach services in an inclusive, collaborative, and integrated Center for Health and Wellness.
Licensure requirements: VT License eligible candidates, who do not currently hold a Vermont License but anticipate being licensed in the next 6 months must include information about their anticipated timeline and status of licensure application with VT Office of Professional Regulations when they apply.
Core Responsibilities:
Provides psychological counseling and crisis intervention for students and implements appropriate assessments and clinical interventions. Facilitates group workshops, therapy, and series as assigned to contribute to meet outreach goals. Builds relationships with campus community to reduce stigma and increase help/service seeking Completes timely documentation in the EHR according to best practices and Counseling policies Facilitates skills and process trainings for students and employees as assigned Consults with Director, Counseling staff, and other Center for Health and Wellness colleagues around risk management, referrals, confidentiality, and crisis management support. Participates in Counselor on-call rotation.This is considered a full time benefits eligible, salaried position. The salary range for the position is $63,009- $78,787 per year.
