Conduct indviidual and group counseling with sheltered women and children. Qualifications: Required: + Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology is required + 3 years experience working in the Domestic Violence Field + Licensure required LSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC + Knowledge of the dynamics of Domestic violence + Ability to work in an emotionally charged environment + Ability to perform duties in an independent manner with little or no supervision + Completion of 40 hour Domestic Violence training preferred/must be completed within 6 months of hire Preferred: + Bilingual English/Spanish Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable): + N/A Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions): + Day + Full-Time + 37.5 Hour Work Week Essential Functions: + Provide support to victims with co-occurring cases of Domestic Violence and Child Neglect. + Provide on-site consultation to DCP&P local offices + Provide direct advocacy and referrals to other social service agencies if needed. + Assist in Domestic Violence Safety Planning + Provide individual support counselling to assist clients in recognizing their own strengths. + Model best practices in working with families in Domestic Violence situations + Maintain accurate and confidential case files + Answer hotline and provide appropriate referrals as needed + Serve as a resource to other staff regarding co-occurring cases + Provides a compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service. + Adheres to patient rights: provides for the confidential treatment of all communications and records. + Demonstrates professionalism with families, visitors, physicians, co-workers and supervisors. + Supports teamwork by cooperative problem solving through participation in meetings, projects, etc. Benefits and Perks: At RWJBarnabas Health, our market-competitive Total Rewards package provides comprehensive benefits and resources to supports our employees physical, emotional, social, and financial health. + Paid Time Off (PTO) + Medical and Prescription Drug Insurance + Dental and Vision Insurance + Retirement Plans + Short & Long Term Disability + Life & Accidental Death Insurance + Tuition Reimbursement + Health Care/Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts + Wellness Programs + Voluntary Benefits (e.g., Pet Insurance) + Discounts Through our Partners such as NJ Devils, NJ PAC, Verizon, and more!
