High Focus Centers in Parsippany is a premier provider of outpatient treatment programs for mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders. Our highly trained staff create individualized, comprehensive and robust treatment plans designed to meet each client’s treatment goals. At High Focus Centers in Parsippany we are currently seeking a Counselor Assistant to join our amazing team of behavioral healthcare professionals in facilitating group therapy sessions for adolescent and adult services. Hourly Rate: $22 - $25/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assists individuals in developing and solidifying long-term recovery supports, and providing services before, during, and following an individual’s engagement in the treatment continuum. Provides opportunities for individuals to direct their own recovery plan and supports, build self-worth, wellness, empowerment, and self-advocacy.  Performs group therapy sessions under the direction of the treatment supervisor including preparing materials for sessions. Manages client files. Communicates with referral sources and company representatives. Will utilize Evidence based practice Participates in community meetings with clients. Other duties as assigned

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field required
