Responsibilities

Develops individualized treatment and discharge plans for residentsMakes referrals, coordinates services, and maintains regular and on-going consultations with other organizationsCoordinates the vocational and educational goals of residentsFacilities group and individual counseling sessionsSupports and encourages resident participation in community self-help groupsAssists in the oversight of program medication proceduresConducts breathalyzer and toxicology screeningsFacilitates new resident assessments, admissions, and orientationsAvailabe for on-call coverage when neededCompletes documentation per agency requirementsData input and word processing Requirements Masters Degree in Human Services or related field and a minimum of 6 months counseling experience. Field placement as an intern may be applied to the required counseling experience. Must possess and maintain a current Qualified Health Professional status. OrBachelors Degree in Human Services or a related field and a minimum of one year counseling experience. Field placement as an intern may be applied to required counseling experience. Must possess and maintain a current Qualified Health Professional status. OrAssociates Degree in Human Services or a related field; must possess and maintain a current Qualified Health Professional status and two years counseling experience in the appropriate field. Field placement as an intern may be applied to required counseling experience.Able to ensure confidentialityMust posses a New York State driver's license with an acceptable driving record Salary Description $60,000/Year
