Counter Sales Specialist - $19.00/hr. + DOE

A local distributing facility is looking for a Counter Sales Specialist to join their team. As a Counter Sales Specialist, you will increase sales and customer satisfaction by efficiently and courteously assisting walk-in and telephone customers in the selection and acquisition of needed products.

Responsibilities:

Take customer orders and accurately enter them into the system. Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sales items as well as new products. Quickly retrieve accurate orders from warehouse. Handle customer complaints and returns, while maintaining a positive attitude. Keep merchandising and counter areas clean and attractive. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Two years in related experience and/or training required. Wholesale distribution experience a plus. Minimum of 1-2 years in a progressive position required. Must be able to communicate positively with employees, supervisors, sales staff and customers. Must be able to use computers and other common office equipment. Ability to regularly push, pull, or lift up to 50lbs, up to 80lbs or more as a team.
