Responsibilities The individual selected for this position will serve as Counterintelligence Officer (CIO); specific duties and functions include, but are not limited to, the following: Conduct Counterintelligence (CI)/Counter Terrorism (CT) investigations across the DOE complex. Work closely with the FBI and the USIC to assist in any ongoing espionage, terrorism, or related operations and investigations at responsible facilities. Serve as liaison and interface with DOE facility management and local law enforcement agencies surrounding the assigned facility. Provide case-related updates to the Senior Counterintelligence Officer (SCIO), facilities senior management, and other DOE CI executives. Provide CI/CT defensive briefings and debriefings to Departmental personnel in foreign intelligence and terrorist activities/threats. Serve as primary point of contact with scientific community departments within the DOE complex for the purpose of proactively mitigating foreign intelligence and terrorist activities/threats Qualifications BS 10-12, MS 8-10, PhD 5-7 Must POSSESS and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance Individual must have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience as a CI Officer/agent conducting typical CI program activities to include CI inquiries and/or espionage investigations. Individual must have experience as a primary case agent in counterintelligence case management at DOE, the FBI or DOD and must have advanced interviewing and elicitation techniques. Individual must have demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, and proven ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Must have functional computer literacy and be proficient in common computer and network applications. Equal Pay Act This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
