Counterintelligence/Security Specialist (Program Protection – Senior)

Clearance: Active TS/SCI

Location: Springfield, VA

Experience: At least 12 years of experience with 8 years of specialized experience

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Secure the Program of Record (PoR) environment that is developing, testing, deploying and sustaining algorithmic warfare initiatives and operations, and provide expert and innovative CI/Security services to a team focused on rapid fielding of PoR products and mission success.

Create and sustain initiatives that support PM timelines and objectives, while maintaining compliance with applicable national security requirements.Demonstrate energy, experience, subject matter expertise, sound judgement, foresight and problem-solving skills, excellent organizational and communication skills, excellent research and data-gathering skills, interpretation/analysis of complex information skills.In collaboration with AI/ML leadership, support implementation of Program Protection Planning, facilitate the comprehensive development and execution of a Program Protection Strategy, along with the desired protection success criteria, CI Support Plans (CISP), company threat assessments, OPSEC plans, classification/marking review and other planning documents as directed.Communicate effectively across all DoD and USIC elements, as well as with academic and industrial organizations.Identify and maintain relationships outside of the program that help in the development of AI/ML Program Protection objectives, including Commercial Vendor Outreach, Security and CI familiarization, and Intelligence and Security Community Coordination/De-confliction.Expertly engage in CI/Security activities, as permitted by law and policy, in support of AI/ML objectives. Examples include: conducting CI analysis in support of AI/ML requirements, providing CI travel alerts/threat advisories to AI/ML staff, providing CI training to AI/ML staff and vendors, developing CI requirements, engaging with DoD and USIC partners to obtain needed CI/IC support (including cyber and investigations) and conduct CI open-source collection.Assist in the preparation and presenting tailored CI/Security briefings for/to AI/ML leadership, senior level staff and vendors.Provide continuous support, advice and counsel to the AI/ML Program Protection (P2) government lead regarding CI, general security, insider threat matters and management of a myriad of P2-related issues.Further collaboration and interaction between AI/ML and the Academic Engagement Working Group relating to academic partnerships and future processes effecting AI/ML’s AI/ML efforts. Minimum of 15 years of operational and/or investigative CI-related experience in a DoD or USIC capacity along with relevant CI training and certifications.
