Job Description

As a Country Lead your main goals in this role will be:

To lead the local business to deliver profitable growthTo develop the organization (people, processes, entity) and manage them in effective and efficient manner To drive CEE regional initiatives, EU strategy and customer focus programs across the country. Represent and act as a statutory company director for CHEP Hungary

What will you do?

P & L Responsibility, budget creation and overall country management and control responsibilitiesDeveloping business strategy and action plans, identifying new revenue streamsLeadership to the entire Country in particular providing strategic direction and tactical supportDeveloping talent for succession planning through all levels of the CHEP organizationBuilding major client relationships to sustain organic growthBuilding a continuous improvement culture, introducing best practice, new ideas and opportunitiesEnsuring adequate resources are in place to deliver to target and continue to growEnsuring employee engagement is a top priority for the country management teamEnsuring a safe & secure work environment ‘Zero Harm Culture’Contributing to the direction and success of the European Region Promoting synergies and co-operation across the regionCommunicating and instilling CHEP’s mission, vision and valuesControlling business processes and procedures in order to ensure legal compliance and application of group best practices and standardsIdentify and execute short and long terms business strategy focusing on CHEP addressable market share, sales opportunities to achieve the budget. Building on the strong CHEP brand internally and externallyPurchasing decisions in line with authority matrixPeople decisions such as hiring and other HR related activities Autonomously taking decisions related to the country, consulting with CE GMWorking in a matrix environment indirectly influencing decisions at Regional level

Who are we looking for?

Experience in leading a business unit with a significant revenue responsibility Proven track record in all aspects of financial, people, commercial and operations managementExperience in strategy development, change management and generate / build client relationshipsRecord of operational efficiency & continuous improvementAbility to establish and maintain an effective relationship with customersAbility to operate within Global organisation and balance local, regional and global demandsEnergy and ResilienceSound business judgement and common senseAbility to manage and motivate diverse groupsAbility to improve profitability, drive growth, identify new revenue streams and reduce overheadsAbility to communicate key messages clearly across a diverse range of employeesAbility to attract, identify and develop key talent within the organizationAbility and desire to operating effectively in a matrix environment with functional leadersDeep knowledge of local market and regulatory environment

Essential

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related fieldFluency in Hungarian and English language

Desirable

MBA, other postgraduate qualificationExperience of B2B sectorMulticultural experienceSolid sales and business development backgroundOperational excellence (Six Sigma, Lean) methodologies
