Country Marketing Associate – Singapore and Southeast Asia

Position Overview:

The Country Marketing Associate (CMA) is responsible for managing and implementing country specific marketing activities that support Capital Group’s Financial Intermediary business plan in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

As the CMA, the individual will:

Plan, execute and manage events (CG hosted, third-party events and distributor-led events)

Plan, schedule and deploy specific elements of the marketing toolkit for the local market: regular client email communications, web page updates, Sales to Client collateral, and localise the toolkit when needed

Plan and execute on agreed local marketing tactics that have been identified to support the local business and marketing plans. These include but are not limited to: execution of events/webinars, marketing collateral, Brand Campaign, product campaigns.

Working with the CMM and the rest of the marketing team, the individual will be responsible for the following activities that, based on the size and the complexity, can be conducted either independently on jointly with agency, vendors and internal resources.

Key responsibilities:

Project managing events (CG hosted, third-party and distributor led events) which includes providing support for event planning, coordination, execution and onsite. Example of support includes:

Ideation of event themes, premiums and event messaging

Identify event venue with the support from Office Services - Meetings Team  if needed.

Plan, coordinate and follow up the communication pipeline for all touch points (save the date, invitation, recalls, registration, follow up).

Provide agency brief (if appropriate) and participate to the selection of vendors/event agency.

Provide brief to internal resources and organise the logistics of the material required for the event (presentation, folders, gadget, etc).

Liaise with events agency and venues for the correct implementation of all the activities related and to ensure that the events meets CG standards.

Liaise with vendor in case of group meetings/roundtables/ etc that need catering.

Responsible for content across marketing materials (products and thought leadership) in local languages, leveraging on the centralized EN content. These include, but not limited to presentations, brochures, commentary, emails etc. The individual will also be the key member of the Chinese speaking pod responsible for reviewing, editing and proofreading Simplified Chinese content to ensure they are accurate and where needed transcreating / curating and retailising content from regional/centralized materials to fit for local target audience.

Digital

Manage digital activities with internal resources such as building BAU / campaign eDMs, social posts and overseeing country websites to ensure they are correct, aligned and up-to-date. 

Campaign management - product, thematic/brand and lead generation (if appropriate) campaigns to support business goals: 

Drive and take ownership of the campaign project plan, with inputs from CMMs.

Organize and manage meetings with relevant agencies and internal stakeholders to drive the successful delivery of the campaign on time and on budget.

Partner with the centralised campaign team to achieve economies of scale where possible.

Manage the development of campaign assets in local language, and make sure they comply with local regulatory requirement and our brand guideline.

Work with CMMs to define campaign metrics and measure success.

Analytics

Partner with the Business Data Analytics Team/digital team to establish regular analytics reports on our marketing activities.

Share analytics with the Business stakeholders, Senior Managers and CMMs to help guide and optimize marketing campaigns and activities.

The individual will also be required to participate in global marketing project teams and take on other ad-hoc activities as required.

Skills & Experience:

8 years plus experience of working in the investment management industry - retail (end investor) marketing experience within asset management strongly preferred

A passion for execution and attention to detail

Highly organised and reliable

Strong stakeholder and project management skills

High levels of energy and commitment

Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise effectively

Strong team player and able to collaborate with other marketing team members/internal resources and external vendors

Superior written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese, with solid experience in editing Chinese content in asset management preferred

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
