DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a County Casework Supervisor, you will be assigned to the Ongoing Services Units of Lycoming County Children and Youth Services, providing clinical supervision to assigned casework staff that are responsible for providing permanency and in-home services to cases accepted for service voluntarily or through order of the court. Cases may include children living with their parents or guardian, children in foster care, formal and informal kinship care, and youth court ordered as shared case responsibility with the Juvenile Probation Office (JPO). You will supervise County Caseworker 2s and report to the Clinical Director. Within this role, you will ensure consistency in the day-to-day decision making process of assessing ongoing safety and risk to all children within a family and assure the most appropriate level of agency intervention and service is provided. This includes closely monitoring each family's progress towards achieving family service plan and child permanency plan goals, with timely recommendations for modifications as circumstances warrant. Responsibilities also include making recommendations for termination of parental rights, adoption, or case closure when appropriate. You will ensure mandated services are provided in accordance with applicable federal, state, and agency regulations, policies, and procedures. Coordination and cooperation with other supervisory staff is essential in order to provide consistent continuity of services for children and families and to reduce the risk of further abuse and neglect. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: + Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or + Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
