Items transported include, but are not limited to, linen carts (full and empty), inter-office mail, Lab coolers, various supplies, mail, pharmacy totes, refrigerated supplies, lab specimens, and billing envelopes. May also include deposit and change bags to/from area banks. This position may be required to work weekends, nights and holidays.This is a physical job which requires the ability to lift, move and deliver a variety of items. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Follow detailed route instructions and schedules. Record and maintain detailed logs as required. Secure keys and key cards at all times. Pick up, load, unload and deliver a wide variety of supplies and other items (as described in the Summary above). Safely operate a motor vehicle, specifically the Mercy Courier Vans. Repetitively enter and exit the driver and cargo areas of the vans Document pick up and deliveries using tracking software EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent. CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE For those driving Mercyhealth vehicles: Maintain a valid driver's license. Have and maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth's HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy. For those driving their personal vehicles: Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with proof of vehicle insurance when requested. Have and maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth's HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Passing the Driver’s License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring). Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check. Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.
