The Courier position located in Atlanta, GA acts in an administrative, clerical or para-professional support role. The incumbent performs multiple, related tasks. He/she applies administrative procedures to resolve problems which may be non-routine in nature and escalates complex problems as needed. This position receives general instructions on routine tasks and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. The incumbent assesses the urgency of, and prioritizes, assigned tasks Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Under moderate to limited supervision, performs moderate skills required to operate business equipment associated with facilities related tasks. * Typical duties include Picking up supplies and mail support. This will include using Hexagon to enter pickups in the system. * Use intermediate skills to operate business equipment associated with mailroom, copy center. * Maintain supply storage area. * May use basic knowledge of Windows environment and Hexagon. * Job Specifications & Scope of Responsibility for the Courier: * Serve as office and facility maintenance courier. * Collecting and/or delivering mail from post boxes. * Support facilities team with picking up purchased items required for facility tasks and delivering to technician on job site when needed. * Other support to facilities team as needed or requested. * Keep the supply room clean and tidy. * Supports mail distribution. * Maintain recycling area to include drum area and used lamps. * The vehicle must be kept clean at all times. The vehicle must be taken to the car wash regularly. Maintenance on the vehicle must be kept up by notifying Vehicle Maintenance when needed. Ideally, here’s what you will also have: * Minimum of two years’ experience Working Conditions & Physical Requirements: The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact. * Working conditions are typically in an office environment or in a vehicle. * Punctual attendance is key to success in this position. * Physical activity may include some or all the following: bending, stooping, walking, pushing, lifting to 50 lbs., climbing stairs and / or ladders, sitting for long periods, and typing. * May perform tasks that are custodial in nature, including those related to Supply area.
