ABOUT THE POSITION: CCSI is contracted by Onondaga County to provide program management services, including specialized staffing. The Court Navigator Supervisor will be responsible for oversight and support of the Court Navigation program. Court Navigators will be responsible for providing support and connections to behavioral health resources, that support health wellness and recovery for those identified as having mental health treatment needs or a diagnosed serious mental illness that are also engaged within the justice system. Court Navigators will be housed within the local county government but work in close collaboration with the local courts within Onondaga County. The Court Navigator Supervisor will serve as the primary contact for the Court Navigation program, serving as point person for the courts and Court Navigators within the Court Navigation program. Providing oversight, supervision, and support will be key functions to the Court Navigator Supervisor. Additionally, The Court Navigator Supervisor will be in charge of creating, collecting, and reporting on data regarding the intake, interventions, and outcomes of individuals served by the Court Navigation Program. Requirements SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: + Provides day to day Supervision to approximately Court Navigator Program in Onondaga County. + Fill Court Navigator positions as needed + Coach and support Court Navigators through all aspects of their roles, including intake, assessment, engagement, closing, reporting, and documentation + Demonstrate ability to complete all tasks and responsibilities that are being asked of the Court Navigators. + Communicate in a professional manner as a representative of Onondaga County to outside providers, including to local County, City, and Justice Courts. + Perform supervision with Court Navigators on a regular basis. + Schedule, Plan, and Facilitate individual supervisions, group supervisions, and staff meetings. + Create standard operation procedure for Court Navigation Program. + Oversee development of comprehensive resource guide of the local behavioral health and social services network to assist with matching individuals with appropriate resources to promote health, wellness, and recovery + Direct efforts to ensure comprehensive resource guide is up to date. + Works closely with local County, City, and Justice Courts throughout Onondaga County. + Cultivates partnerships with community providers to best support clients. + Support community education requests. + Receive and review referrals to the Court Navigator program + Assigns referrals to Court Navigators + Provide direct and technical support for both Court Navigators and community partners in relation the Court Navigator program + Reviews Court Navigators interventions and communication on a regular basis + Create and support data collection material and processes to ensure that program effectiveness and sustainability. + Collaborates closely with AOT, Forensic Transitions, and 730 team to ensure appropriate service delivery. + Recommends adjustments to treatment plans, and advocates for system movement + Establish protocol to support Court Navigator’s to ensure capability of completing necessary job duties. + Culturally responsive to the population being served in the development, design, monitoring, evaluation and/or implementation of programs and services. + Travels as necessary to fulfill responsibilities. + Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the program + Performs other duties as assigned Required Competencies: To be successful in this position, you ill need competence in: + Communicating effectively. + Building collaborative relationships. + Valuing diversity and fostering an inclusive environment. + Striving for self-development and taking initiative to be resourceful. + Problem-solving both independently and with others. + Computer literate and proficient with Word, Excel. + Working knowledge of laws and regulations specifically regarding the treatment of individuals with a serious mental illness. + Proficiency of systems of care (i.e. OMH Housing, Chemical Dependency, Criminal Justice, Homeless, Health Care). + Preparation and delivery of effective written correspondence, records, and reports. + Good powers of observation, analysis, and negotiation. + Possession of person-centered approach when interacting with clients, families. + Ability to work collaboratively with individuals, families, law enforcement, the court system, state agencies, state forensic services, and local service providers. + Proficiency in setting up and facilitating multi-disciplinary team discussions or meetings. + Capability to work with minimum direction and supervision. + Ability to plan, schedule and facilitate complex cross systems meetings. + Recognizes and values diversity within the work environment. + Participates as a member of the team in valuing individual differences and supporting one another’s opportunity to achieve their greatest potential. + Culturally responsive to the population being served in the development, design, monitoring, evaluation and/or implementation of programs and services. + Strong sense of leadership to supervise staff in different locations. + Ability to join staff in problem solving scenarios and provide helpful direction/support EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: + Bachelor’s degree in human services field and 6 years of work experience or equivalent education and work experience (see CCSI's equivalency chart) + Additional experience within a supervisory / leadership role is preferred. + Additional professional experience with the justice system, criminal procedure law, and/or mental hygiene law are preferred. Staff working directly with protected health information /electronically stored protected health information, personally identifiable information, and other patient/consumer/customer data, will abide by the specific procedures and policies outlined by CCSI’s Code of Conduct and CCSI’s Privacy and Security Policies, New York State regulations and Federal regulations.
