Job Title: Court Compliance Specialist

 

Job Summary:                                           

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Court Compliance Specialist to join our Court Services team. The Court Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with court-mandated programs, maintaining accurate and timely documentation, and providing excellent support to court partners, including judges, prosecutors, and defense counsel. The Court Compliance Specialist will have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced court environment.

CASES is a leading New York City agency at the intersection of behavioral health and the criminal justice system. Our mission is to enhance public safety through innovative services that reduce crime and incarceration, improve behavioral health, promote recovery and rehabilitation, and create opportunities for community success. The CASES Court Services department supports court-mandated or endorsed programs throughout the criminal legal process. We operate alternative to detention (ATD) and alternative to incarceration (ATI) community-based programs, facilitated by the NYS Office of Court Administration (OCA) judiciary. CASES collaborates with multiple stakeholders to support these ATD and ATI options for thousands of defendants across various boroughs. All Court Services teams are dedicated to the CASES mission, facilitating release, and achieving positive court outcomes.

  

Salary:  The salary for the Court Compliance Specialist position is $53,000 per year. 

Shift Hours: The Court Compliance Specialist position is full-time from Sunday through Thursday 9am to 5pm. Subject to Change

Location Address: 100 Centre Street, New York, NY 10013

Workplace Flexibility: The Court Compliance Specialist is a hybrid position, subject to change. 

 

What you will be doing: 

Develop and maintain professional relationships with judges, prosecutors, defense counsel, and other court partners to facilitate program admissions and uphold CASES’ credibility in the Manhattan Criminal and Supreme Courts.Facilitate effective collaboration with SRP, ROAR, ATI, and NCS staff in borough-based offices to ensure accurate information is provided to the court and participants meet supervision conditions. Provide timely and accurate notification to the court about participant non-compliance, including instances of absconding, failure to report, and re-arrests. Assist court parties with compliance and non-compliance inquiries and matters. Analyze Power BI and Salesforce reports, and multiple databases for trends to assist program teams in better serving participants. Document and disseminate findings constructively. Ensure program staff can access information by developing and maintaining a filing system for all administrative and case records. Respond appropriately, accurately, and timely to all judicial inquiries and attorney correspondence. Provide mentorship and support to less experienced colleagues. 

 What we are looking for: 

Associate’s degree Minimum of 2 years in data entry and data management, including running reports. Experience within a community-based organization as support staff, evaluator, or direct service provider. Ability to function effectively in a high-paced, high-stakes environment and work independently. Ability to work effectively with diverse participants and staff. 

 

Additional, preferred skills we are looking for but are not required: 

Bachelor's degreePreferred skills in database development, management, and analysis. Bilingual Spanish candidates preferred.
