CPR TRAINER Job Details Level Experienced Job Location Westchester - Tarrytown, NY Position Type Per Diem Education Level 4 Year Degree Salary Range $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly Travel Percentage Up to 25% Job Shift Any Job Category Health Care CPR/FIRST AID TRAINER SUMMARY Under general supervision the CPR/First Aid Trainer is responsible for providing high-quality training sessions in CPR and First Aid to both staff and community members. This role includes developing training materials, conducting hands-on training, and ensuring that participants are well-prepared and confident in their ability to respond to emergencies. The ideal candidate will focus on educating individuals who support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities on essential First Aid techniques, CPR procedures, and emergency response skills. All necessary equipment, training curriculum, and supplies will be provided at training sites located in the Bronx and Westchester. Day-today responsibilities include but are not limited to • Develop and update training materials and curricula to ensure compliance with current CPR and First Aid standards.• Conduct CPR and First Aid training sessions for staff and community members, ensuring all participants understand techniques and protocols.• Assess participants’ skills through practical demonstrations and written evaluations.• Maintain accurate training records, including participant attendance and certifications.• Stay informed of updates to CPR and First Aid guidelines from relevant authorities and organizations.• Provide ongoing support and resources to participants post-training to enhance their confidence and skills.• Collaborate with management to schedule training sessions and address any specific training needs. Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in health or education fields are a plus Required Skills: · Certification in CPR and First Aid training from American Red Cross. · Previous experience as a trainer or instructor in CPR and First Aid required. · High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in health or education fields are a plus. · Experience working in healthcare, emergency services, IDD population or related fields is ideal. · Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and working knowledge of record-keeping. SHIFT AVAILABILITY:Per Diem; Non-Exempt.
