Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Technician to perform CQA services for landfill and landfill gas projects located all throughout TEXAS. This role involves conducting daily site inspections, ensuring compliance with design plans, and coordinating with contractors to maintain high standards of construction quality.
ResponsibilitiesConduct daily site inspections at landfills or construction sites.Provide oversight and inspection engineering management of landfill gas and landfill construction (cell and closure) to ensure compliance with design plans.Perform construction quality assurance (CQA) for compliance with drawings and technical specifications.Maintain and monitor landfill gas or remedial systems.Coordinate with General Contractors and Subcontractors.Submit daily written and photo log reports.Prepare construction documentation reports as requested.Assist in training engineering technicians, associate staff, and staff professionals in field activities.Support office operations when requested.Essential Skills3-5 years of experience with Geosynthetics Inspections.Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PDFs (Daily Field Logs use fillable Excel Template).Experience in soils testing and landfill gas projects.Knowledge of Nuclear Density Gauge.Strong report writing skills.Valid driver's license with a good driving record.Strong oral presentation and written communication skills.Ability to use Microsoft Office and read maps and construction plans.Additional Skills & QualificationsAA in engineering degree preferred.Soils or Concrete Certifications are a plus but not mandatory.Self-starter attitude.Knowledge of geosynthetics and soils preferred.Ability to meet physical requirements for driving, lifting, and operating tools.Experience in active construction sites or engineering field work preferred.Work Environment
This position involves significant travel, including regional travel throughout Texas and overnight stays. The rotation typically includes 3-4 weeks of work, 6 days a week, followed by a 1-week break. The first 2 weeks include onboarding and safety training, followed by hands-on training at different landfill sites. The company provides a comfortable stay in extended-stay hotels during out-of-town assignments. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
