This position requires a detail-oriented individual who will perform most of their tasks at a mine reclamation project near Spokane, WA. The candidate will provide field engineering, quality control, and surveying as part of a skilled and qualified team. This position will require a passionate, creative and organized individual who is driven to taking on and completing challenges associated with mining projects. This position interacts throughout the organization internally and externally with clients and members of business and professional organizations. **Your Key Responsibilities** + Following safe work practices and adhering to company and client guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner. + Contribute to an innovative and collaborative work environment where creativity is valued and encouraged. + Interact with client management, construction contractors, engineering, and field staff to plan and execute construction activities. + Managing, coordinating, and documenting construction quality control activities to verify and document compliance with construction requirements. + Developing and implementing design solutions, as-built construction verification, and other field engineering activities utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D software. + Preparing technical memoranda and detailed reports pertaining to field investigations, design studies and construction activities. + Support construction activities including interpreting and communicating requirements of work plans and specifications, use of survey grade GPS equipment to support construction, and preparing reports and submittals documenting conformance with project specifications. + Preparing and presenting at various project meetings. **Qualifications** **Your Capabilities and Credentials** + Strong technical writing skills, organizational skills, technical leadership abilities, oral communication skills, and attention to detail. + Ability to work in the field at remote sites during the construction season + Ability to work independently and make decisions in the office and in the field at remote sites. + OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training with current refresher is preferred or the ability to obtain after employment. + Valid driver’s license **Education and Experience** + 4-10 years of experience working on civil, mining, or environmental engineering projects, focusing on detailed design, site investigation, construction, and technical communication. + Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mining or Environmental Engineering + Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Washington preferred or the ability to obtain after employment. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
