CQE Mechanical Quality Control Engineer
**Job Description:** + This is a 6-month contract position in Mountain View, CA, with travel required to China and Taiwan. + The team manages the design, purchasing and manufacturing of all parts for the camera systems for the client Maps. The team is starting to build the next generation global camera systems that helps us update Maps around the world. **Responsibilities:** + The CQE Mechanical Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of mechanical components, systems, and processes throughout the product lifecycle. + They will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and maintain quality control measures, conduct root cause analysis of failures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. + Develop and implement quality control plans, inspection procedures, and testing protocols for mechanical components and assemblies. + Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical parts and assemblies to verify compliance with specifications and standards. + Perform root cause analysis of mechanical failures and non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions. + Collaborate with design engineering to ensure that new products and designs meet quality and reliability requirements. + Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on potential quality risks and mitigation strategies. + Work with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components. **Mandatory:** + 5+ years of practical hands-on experience in electromechanical products manufacturing environments. + Experience with quality control tools and techniques, such as statistical process control (SPC), measurement systems analysis (MSA). + Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or any other similar certification is required. + Practical hands-on experience with Metrology. + Experience in mechanical drawings comprehension, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). + Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (including Process Capability Index Cpk) would be a plus. + Experience with automated inspection systems and equipment, such as CMM (Coordinate-Measuring Machine) and LIBS (laser induced breakdown spectroscopy) would be a plus. **Education:** + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience. **About US Tech Solutions:** US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
