Responsibilities SCOPE OF WORK The Craft Instructor assesses learning needs, designs and develops curriculum content and plans, and delivers curriculum through the most effective methodologies. All efforts are directed to delivering the best education through research and implementation of the most effective teaching methodologies to build and enhance employee skills and competence. The Craft Instructor partners with the Apprenticeship instructors and staff assigned to deliver craft content to assure delivery of content that meets learner and organizational needs. RESPONSIBILITIES Will Travel at least 2 weeks per month to various job-sites or corporate office around the country Lead the assessment of Craft Education and Development needs for Operations employees Lead the Craft Assessment program and use this information to design training needs Design, develop, and deliver skills driven curriculum that meet participant needs and Company objectives Facilitates continual educational development activities that support Gaylor Career Pathways Plan and coordinate content delivery, administration, and logistics Coaches skilled craft employees who function as trainers with Gaylor on effective implementation of developed curriculum Evaluates effectiveness of craft education and apprenticeship programming Researches internal and external best practices and assists with recommendations for continuous improvements in education-related programs Works collaboratively with the Operational leadership to plan and facilitate craft education delivery and the Craft Assessment program Continuously reviews existing educational practices and programs, especially as it relates to student engagement and curriculum effectiveness Identifies areas for improvement and provides recommendations Qualifications EDUCATION High School Diploma or equivalency. Relevant electrician craft certification. EXPERIENCE Previous experience with training and/or education in the construction industry. High level of electrical construction skills and experience.
