**Job Title: Crane Operator** **Job Description** We are looking for a skilled Crane Operator to handle double hoist overhead REMOTE cranes using wireless remote operations. The position involves moving steel beams, reading tape measures, and packaging steel. The candidate must have saw operating experience and be able to band steel. This role requires being on your feet and walking for 8+ hours per shift. **Responsibilities** + Operate a double hoist overhead remote crane to move steel beams. + Use a wireless remote to control crane operations. + Read tape measures accurately. + Operate saws for cutting steel when necessary. + Band and package steel beams. + Assist with preparing, moving, cleaning, and cutting steel using a Band Saw. + Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures. **Essential Skills** + Experience operating a remote double hoist crane. + Ability to read a tape measure. + Previous heavy industrial experience, particularly in steel processing. + Experience in material handling, inventory management, and crane operation. + Capability to perform other manufacturing facility tasks such as machine operating and cleaning. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Must be willing to train on the 1st shift if needed, though some may start directly on the 2nd shift. + Must be able to stand and walk for the entire shift. + Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. **Why Work Here?** This opportunity offers the chance to work in a large industrial warehouse with a focus on safety. The company conducts random drug tests for all employees. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago Heights, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
