Summary: 

Looking for a dependable, mature, experienced crane operator to primarily operate hydraulic truck mounted cranes. CDL required, and CCO Certification preferred or willing to obtain CCO certification. Must observe and follow all safety rules and procedures including wearing personal protection equipment. Performs daily maintenance and checks on crane. Observes and or takes responsibility of load hookup and determines safety and placement of load. The Crane Operator performs other duties and activities as directed or needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Operates traveling or stationary overhead crane (cab- or ground controlled) to lift, move, and position loads, such as machinery, equipment, products, and solid or bulk materials, using hoisting attachments, such as hook, sling, electromagnet, or bucket. Determines safe lifting capacities. Observes load hookup and determines safety of load. Installs and removes crane booms, extensions, and hook blocks. Positions crane outriggers assemblies and maneuvers in response to hand signals. Installs, rigs, and removes crane attachments. Manipulates or depresses crane controls, such as pedals, levers, buttons, to regulate speed, direction of crane, and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions. Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism. Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions. May attach load to hook or another crane accessory prior to operating crane. Follows all safety policies and procedures. Performs rigging duties for other crane operators. Performs preventive maintenance on other equipment as directed. Completes paperwork associated with craning operations. Completes daily consumables report to record hours, fuel, and oil usage. This job is safety sensitive for medical marijuana purposes. All other tasks as assigned.

Education/Skill Requirements:

Possess a CCO certification or be willing to obtain it. Possess a CDL (preferably class A) license with air brakes plus a clean driving record. All DOT requirements including physicals completed annually. Customer Service – Acts in a professional, courteous, and cooperative manner toward customers and coworkers. Within reason, does what it takes to meet and exceed expectations of customers. Dependability – Follows through and does what he/she says he/she will do. Shows up for work on time and adheres to the established work schedule. Learning Ability – Readily acquires knowledge and skill in concepts and techniques that are new to him/her. Remembers and applies what he/she has learned. Safety Orientation – Follows and promotes NABHOLZ safety rules and procedures. Shows an appreciation and sets an example for safe work behavior. Does not take inappropriate risks.

Physical Demands:

Personal Protective Equipment including, but not limited to, dust mask, earplugs, gloves, hardhat, respirator, safety glasses, work boots, and safety vest. Hand tools including, but not limited to, hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrenches, and other tools. Lift, carry, and push/pull heavy items and/or equipment up to 75 lbs. occasionally and up to 50 lbs. frequently. Climb into and out of equipment.

Work environment:

Ability to work outside. Hot, Wet, Cold Environment. High Elevations. Job site, trailer, or office.
