We are seeking a Crane Operator for a maintenance position in Baton Rouge, LA. This position operates an overhead crane to move objects, components and material. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures \/ work is checked frequently.\n

Essential Qualifications:\n\nHigh school or equivalent\nPreferably one (1) to two (2) years of experience in specified skill\nPre-employment qualification test if applicable\nPost-offer drug\/alcohol screen and physical evaluation\nJob site \"Personal Protective Equipment\" requirements (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve shirt, gloves, steel toe boots, etc.)\nApplicant\/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace\nNo relocation available for this position; the successful candidate will be a current resident in\/near the area.\n\n

Functional Requirements:\n

Read and sign off on JSA, Operates overhead crane from a cab, Receives verbal communication from employees where location of crane is needed to move materials throughout accessible areas, Stays awake, alert and is aware of surroundings, Uses hand levers to control functions of the crane, Performs daily inspection of the crane, Reports any unsatisfactory findings to the Foreman, Reads and interprets load charts, Understands hand signals for communicating with employees in the work area, Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times, Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.\n
