Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Crane Technician in Brownstown. The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of industrial electrical experience, though crane-specific experience is not required. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and rewiring crane panels at various facilities throughout Michigan.

ResponsibilitiesComplete mechanical repairs and adjustments as needed.Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery and overhead cranes as assigned.Successfully troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.Complete welding and fabrication tasks with minimal direction.Read machine prints (electrical and mechanical).Complete equipment upgrades.Accurately complete service orders.Essential Skills2+ years of crane service/maintenance experience.2+ years of industrial electrical troubleshooting up to 480V.2+ years of troubleshooting electrical drives and PLCs.2+ years of bending and conduit upgrades.2+ years of automation controls experience.Clean driving record.Additional Skills & QualificationsRigging experience.CNC troubleshooting.Crane experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This is a first-shift position with varying hours depending on the facility schedule (mostly 6:30 AM - 2:00 PM). Candidates must be open to afternoon/night calls in cases of outages or emergency repairs. The position involves traveling to different sites around Michigan, primarily steel plants. Working conditions can be extreme, with temperatures up to 150 degrees near cranes on ceilings. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights, using reach trucks, and climbing high stairs/ladders, potentially up to 4-5 stories.

The pay range for this position is $64480.00 - $80000.00
