The Crate and Barrel Brand Chief of Staff owns the execution of strategic business initiatives and projects, from development through successful completion, under the guidance of the Brand President; assists and communicates with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation; reviews, designs, and executes improvements to organizational structure; and improves current processes and optimizes organizational procedures for efficiency and productivity.

This position reports to the President of Crate and Barrel and is based out of our Corporate Office in Northbrook, IL.

A day in the life as Crate and Barrel Brand Chief of Staff…

Work with Brand President and other company executives to define, oversee, lead and successfully execute large, cross-functional projects and initiativesAdvise Brand President on strategic direction and initiatives, providing analysis and recommendationsProvide ongoing updates to a range of stakeholders on strategy work, projects, proposals, and planningDevelop and build relationships with all employees, creating an open door for feedback and improvement for increased efficiency and responsiveness of existing operationsLead structure and execution of routine meetings, brand internal and external correspondence, and corporate and board meetingsCreate and maintain systems and processes to streamline operations and ultimately make time, information, and decision-making more effectiveServe as a subject-matter expert, handling inquiries, developing action plans, and assisting with preparation and dissemination of communications.

We’d love to hear from you if you have…

Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business administration or similar field10+ years of experience in a business management or executive role5+ years of experience in retail, specifically merchandising and/or planningExperience in influencing, organizing and directing multiple teams and departmentsExperience in planning and leading strategic initiatives
