**Job Title: Crater Lead - 2nd shift (Starts on 1st shift)** **Job Description** We are looking for an experienced Crater Lead to join our team on the second shift. The ideal candidate must have experience working with hand tools and power tools, as well as previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment. The role involves packaging, kitting, and using a computer for shipping purposes. Additionally, the candidate will eventually be trained to operate a band saw and work with customers. **Responsibilities** + Build crates using hand tools and power tools. + Perform packaging and kitting tasks. + Use a computer for shipping purposes. + Operate machinery, including forklift and band saw. + Manage the shop in the absence of the production manager. + Assist with customer interactions. + After permanent hire, drive a box truck and assist with runs to other facilities. **Essential Skills** + Experience with hand tools and power tools. + Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment. + Experience using a computer for shipping purposes. + Ability to operate machinery and forklift. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Packaging and kitting experience. + Experience working with customers. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team in a new facility where you will have the opportunity to grow into a lead role. This is a contract-to-possible-hire role, contingent on the stability of orders. The facility is newly opened, and the production manager travels frequently, so the candidate will be responsible for running the shop and performing the majority of the work.
