Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Crating Lead to join the Data Center Power & Control Division Starline Team in Canonsburg, PA. The Crating Lead is responsible for leading, directing and acting as the line expert to direct production, troubleshoot issues and drive productivity.

Directs activity of the crating team and acts as expert for builds, safety, and quality. Qualifications

Required Skills

 

Education:   

HS Diploma or equivalent.1 year of shipping experience, 3-5 years preferred.

Experience:

At least one year of product knowledge at Starline preferred.  Must have performed duties of a crater and shipping clerk 3.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Perform all responsibility of the shipping clerk.Acts as the “expert” for building, quality, and safety of the crating crew.Direct the work of others on the crating area, redirecting and assisting his/her line (and other lines necessary). Participates in training of new associates.Responsible for 6S compliance and execution in the shipping area.Actively participates in Tier 1 meetings and helps provide solutions to issues.Responsible for proper utilization of the shipping schedule. Identifies issues with standard crating practices and notifies appropriate personnel to have a resolution.Assures area is set up for the next shift, including tools available, area is cleaned up and materials are staged to optimized workflow.Provides performance feedback of the line members to the Team Supervisors ongoing and as part of the formal annual performance review cycle.Able to work occasional mandatory overtime as needed.
