We are seeking an experienced forward-thinking Creative Director of Copy – Retail Marketing.  You will need to excel in brainstorming and collaboration, showcasing your versatility in writing across diverse styles and platforms.  We are seeking an individual with a strong commitment to nurturing emerging creative talent, as you lead teams to achieve their best work. What You’ll Do:

This is a Full-Time Salary Position

As the Creative Director of Copy – Retail Marketing, you will be responsible for shaping the creative vision of projects, ensuring that our messaging is not only impactful but also aligns with our brand identity and objectives. This role interfaces with various agencies and production arms to bring our *new* high-level brand vision and seasonal campaigns to life.  You will need to thrive on generating bold ideas and be adept at presenting your work, copy, and concepts to clients at any level.

Manage the creative messaging strategy and direction of high level campaign work within the internal marketing team Help identify the strategic and conceptual direction across various projects, and clearly present those ideas to cross functional teams and c-suite Has experience building big, campaign platform ideas with tight teams in a fast-moving environment  Is an extremely strong and empathetic leader who can manage multiple projects simultaneously Has ample experience working with and presenting to stakeholders of all levels including C-suite Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess 10-15 years of experience in creative roles within ad agency or retail teams, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity managing a team. Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field Proven track record of delivering creative marketing solutions that drive strategy to support merchandising, marketing and branding goals Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively under pressure, meet timelines and balance speed and quality within a fast paced setting with changing priorities. Innovative, solution-based thinker who proactively identifies opportunities to help a creative team look at things differently. Detail-oriented with clear understanding of overall objectives and strong sense of ownership Strong presentation skills and ability to respond well to critical feedback. Articulate, patient and tenacious, thriving in a high job volume environment Highly collaborative; great facilitator; leads by example Persuasive, fact-based, and articulate with excellent collaboration skills Positive Attitude

Required Skills:

Direct the execution of creative retail campaigns across all mediums print, crm, display, web and social. Partner with Project Managers, Merchants, other Creative Team members and Agencies to optimize outputs. This includes Messaging, conceptual design, typography, layout, photography. Ability to instruct, direct, and evaluate employees. Ability to predict project requirements, anticipates potential problems, and proposes solutions. Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) at the design and production level. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Additional Information

Environmental Factors & Working Schedule:

Hybrid work environment, 3 days in-person attendance is required (Pittsburgh, PA) in addition to ability to work remotely.  Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include long periods of computer screen usage, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Ability to communicate written and verbally in a professional manner with all organizational levels and external contacts Adaptability and flexibility to focus quickly on changing situations or revised goals in a fast-paced environment Detail oriented, strong analytical skills, team-player The noise level in the work environment is usually low/moderate

At GNC, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
