KOCO 5 News, the ABC affiliate in Oklahoma City, OK, sets the standard for excellence in television in the Oklahoma City market. We are celebrated for our commitment to quality journalism, breaking news and weather coverage. We are looking for a Creative Services Intern, who will be an integral part of our dynamic Creative Services Department, gaining hands-on experience in creative writing, production, camera operation, lighting, marketing, and event marketing. This role reports to the Creative Services Director.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the creative team to produce, write, shoot, and edit engaging on-air promos and image campaigns from start to finish that increases viewer interest, the brand awareness and ratings for all multi-platforms. Participate in the entire production process, from concept development to final delivery. Operate cameras and manage lighting setups to ensure a high production quality. Produce and implement community outreach events, including on-air promotion and event planning. Assist in the planning and promotion of events, including marketing strategies and execution. In-person attendance is required.

Qualifications

Interest in creative writing, production, camera operation, lighting, marketing, and event marketing. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and visual content. Experience with video editing software is an advantage.
