Job Summary/Description:

WDBJ7/WZBJ 24, the legacy station in Roanoke, Virginia is seeking a talented Creative Services Producer/Media Producer to join the creative department.

Bring your ideas to life at Your Hometown Station! The ideal candidate is a highly innovative, positive individual with the experience to conceptualize, write, produce, direct, and edit advertising materials for clients and stations.

Major brownie points if you’re already digitally and socially savvy.

To be considered, you must provide a reel or examples demonstrating your production, branding, and writing knowledge.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Pitch, write, light, shoot, and edit captivating client advertisements and exceptional station marketing.
• Work directly with clients and Sales to incorporate strategic ideas into campaigns.
• Produce graphic presentations, web ads, and other creative assets.
• Help plan and execute events and station initiatives.
• Use trafficking systems to order and run advertisements on TV and digital platforms correctly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must watch local news daily and stay ahead of advertisement trends.
• At least 1-2 years of Adobe or other non-linear editing experience.
• Experience with lights, cinema cameras, DSLR cameras, lenses, and filters.
• Superb attention to detail. Able to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Some nights, weekends, and holidays will be required.
• Must be able to carry, set up, and work with station equipment (20-30lbs), as well as sit and stand for long periods.
• Ability to occasionally work outside in all weather conditions.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
