The renowned Montefiore Einstein Center for Transplantation provides state-of-the-art medical and surgical care to a diverse, underserved patient population. As the Transplant programs continue to expand, the Attending Psychologist in the Division of Transplant Psychiatry will be an integral member of a multidisciplinary team essential to the outstanding health outcomes achieved by the Center for Transplantation. Responsibilities will include psychological evaluation for transplant surgery candidacy, evaluation and treatment for transplant patients presenting with behavioral health conditions, and evaluation and ongoing care for living donors.
The psychologist will play a key supervisory role in the Adult Specialization of our nationally recognized APA-Accredited Predoctoral Psychology Internship Training Program. The position will have opportunities for teaching, supervision, scholarship and collaboration on program development and quality improvement initiatives and will also have eligibility for an academic appointment at the level of Assistant Professor or above at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Education and skills required
Doctorate in Psychology
Licensed or license-eligible (i.e., already holding a license in another state) in New York State
Previous training or employment experience working on a transplant service
Training in Health Psychology
