Credentialing Assistant
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in the Branchburg, New Jersey, for a proficient Credentialing Specialist to join our team. Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about supporting high-quality healthcare operations? We are seeking a Credentialing Specialist to join our growing team. This role is vital in ensuring healthcare providers meet compliance standards and maintain necessary certifications to deliver excellent patient care. Key Responsibilities + Manage and complete the credentialing and re-credentialing process for providers in compliance with applicable regulations and timelines. + Verify licenses, certifications, education, training, and work history for healthcare professionals. + Maintain and update credentialing records in internal databases and track expiration dates to ensure timely renewals. + Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare payers, regulators, and providers. + Stay current on federal, state, and local credentialing regulations. + Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and adherence to compliance policies. Requirements Qualifications + Proven experience in credentialing or a similar administrative healthcare role is preferred. + Knowledge of credentialing requirements and regulations, including NCQA and Joint Commission standards, is a plus. + Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with healthcare providers and teams. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and credentialing software systems is ideal. + High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
