Credentialing Coordinator
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Credentials Coordinator located in Boyle Heights, California. In this role, you will be a key player in the healthcare industry, ensuring the smooth operation of medical staff services by managing credentialing functions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with various regulations. You will be interacting with various departments and physicians, providing and interpreting relevant data to maintain high standards of care. Responsibilities: • Assume responsibility for all assigned credentialing functions for medical and allied health staff, including appointment, reappointment, and privileging. • Conduct ongoing detail oriented practice evaluations and focused detail oriented practice evaluations/proctoring. • Prepare meeting agendas, manage meeting follow-ups, and maintain minutes for assigned medical staff departments and committee functions. • Ensure compliance with medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, state and federal requirements, and accreditation standards. • Maintain the medical staff database, official rosters, and call schedules. • Administer and ensure compliance with hospital policies related to medical staff and regulatory agency requirements. • Manage medical staff dues and fees. • Maintain strict confidentiality in all matters pertaining to the medical staff. • Collaborate with various departments and physicians, providing and interpreting relevant data to identify any practitioners who may not meet the community's standards of care. • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in procedures and policy implementation related to medical staff services • Demonstrated ability to maintain quality control and review processes • Proficiency in database management, particularly related to healthcare providers • Familiarity with medical coverage and regulations in the healthcare sector • Fluency in Spanish language, with skills in language interpretation • Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance in all operations • Experience working in a medical office environment • Expertise in credentialing and privileging processes for medical staff • Knowledge of vaccine applications and interfaces in a healthcare setting • Understanding of regulatory requirements in the healthcare sector • Experience in meeting planning and agenda preparation • Familiarity with allied health professions and their role in healthcare provision • Understanding of accreditation requirements in the healthcare sector • Experience in handling medical staff services in a detail-oriented manner.
